Zinc-Iron-Phosphorous Alloy Plating Process

SCOPE OF APPLICATION

DIPSOL FP-270 is an alkaline non-cyanide zinc-iron-phosphate alloy electroplating process. The deposit consists of uniform zinc alloy containing 0.5–2.0% iron. The deposit has excellent corrosion resistance, far superior to that of conventional zinc plating process. It is easily to get black chromate conversion coating without silver and also iridescent chromate.

FEATURES
  • Black chromate can be obtained without silver
  • Black chromate provides more than double the corrosion resistance in salt spray test compared with regular zinc black chromate
  • High corrosion resistance in high temperature application compared with conventional zinc and iron alloy plating due to high zinc composition and phosphorous existence
  • Uniform zinc co-deposition can be obtained in wide current density area
  • Provides blister-free deposit
  • Excellent throwing power and covering power
  • Insoluble anode can be used
  • FP-270 process provides stable plating solution without decomposition such as other alkaline zinc-iron systems have
